Review: Amazon Original Britannia

  

If you like Historical dramas like Vikings then this may be right up your alley. I really wasn't seeking this out and to be honest I had never heard of it until I was browsing Amazon's video selections. I liked the name well enough to not even bother reading the synopsis and was in for a great surprise. This series does not hold back on the action. The first episode starts out briefly introducing an outcast druid who has an omen and tries to warn the other druids. From that point on the series is explosive with action which is about the second Roman attempt to take over Celtic Britannia. I was so into this show that I binged it in one day. I did some research and discovered that the series is being renewed for another season, so after you watch this one be ready for season 2.

Review: The End of The Fucking World TV Miniseries (Netflix)

I knew when I saw the title of this miniseries that I would be interested in watching this. Before I even watched the trailer for it.

I started watching the first episode and was hooked. Two teens with bad home lives meet and decide to go on  "Bonnie and Clyde" type road trip. What other reason would you need to watch this? They not only find comfort in each others company but quickly things go bad quickly. I will not give any details as to spoil this, but this has to be one of the best series I have watched in a very long time. After I binge watched all 8 episodes I did some research on this series. It's from the UK's Channel 4 and based on a graphic novel of the same title which I had never heard of until now. I really enjoyed this series and cannot wait to read the graphic novel it is based on. Although the last episode ended on what seemed like a cliffhanger I do not know if that was the end or if another series is due. I'm assuming that this is the whole series in its entirety. 

Orphan Black Comics(Media Tie Ins)

I'm assuming you have discovered this post because you are a fan of the Orphan Black TV series. Most fans of the BBC America show are unaware of the media tie in comic book series. I too did not know about these comics until I got the chance to read and review Orphan Black: Helsinki from Netgalley. This volume helped to flesh out the characters that were recently introduced in this past season of the show.  I enjoyed learning about Mika, and her involvement in discovering the clone conspiracy.
These comics help to fill in some of the gaps in the TV show. It's not required reading but if you want to learn more about the characters I would suggest reading these books. Below I have included links to where they can be purchased.
